Sofa Cleaning in Leavenworth, KS | Brooke’s Chem-Dry
Low-moisture sofa cleaning dries in 1 to 2 hours. Fabric checked before we start. Brooke’s Chem-Dry in Leavenworth County since 1998.
Why Low-Moisture Matters for Sofa Cleaning
A sofa that sits wet for hours is a sofa at risk for mildew growth, odor, and fabric damage. Traditional steam cleaning saturates upholstery with water and steam, which can take most of a day to dry and leaves the interior cushion material damp long after the surface appears dry. That retained moisture is where mildew odors start.
Brooke’s Chem-Dry cleans sofas with Hot Carbonating Extraction. The process uses about 80% less water than traditional steam cleaning. The sofa dries in 1 to 2 hours. You get the clean without the extended wait and the mildew risk that comes with soaking a piece of upholstered furniture.
How We Clean Your Sofa
- Fabric check. We identify the fabric type and cleaning code (W, S, WS, X) before selecting a product or method. Different fabrics require different approaches. We do not apply the same product to every sofa regardless of what it is made of.
- Pre-treatment. Heavily soiled areas, stains, or pet spots are pre-treated with the appropriate solution based on the stain type and fabric.
- Hot Carbonating Extraction. We clean the full sofa with our low-moisture process. Carbonation lifts soil out of the fibers. About 80% less water than steam means the sofa is not saturated during the process.
- Post-clean review. We go over the result with you before we leave. Most sofas are dry in 1 to 2 hours and ready to use the same day.

Sofa Cleaning Questions
How long does a sofa take to dry?
1 to 2 hours. We use about 80% less water than traditional steam cleaning. The sofa is ready to use the same day we clean it. You do not need to plan around an extended dry time.
Can you clean a sofa with pet odor or stains?
Yes. Pet urine on upholstery is treated with P.U.R.T. (Pet Urine Removal Treatment), which breaks down uric acid at the source rather than masking the smell. Other stains are pre-treated based on stain type. Tell us what you are dealing with when you call and we will quote it accurately.
Do you clean sectionals?
Yes. Sectionals are quoted as a set so all pieces are cleaned together and match in color and cleanliness after the job. Call us at (913) 351-3508 with the piece count and approximate size for an accurate quote.
Do you move the sofa to clean under it?
We focus on the sofa surfaces themselves: cushions, arms, back, and base. We do not move sofas to clean flooring beneath them as part of an upholstery clean. If you also want the floor cleaned, ask about combining upholstery and carpet cleaning in one visit.
